WHAT WE DO

Our mission is to help students discover more about themselves by helping them understand what they want to do with their lives. To achieve this, we have been helping and working with several schools and their counseling departments to create fun, interactive platform for students, parents, and teachers.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

According to a survey done by the team between 2019 and 2021, out of 450 Junior High School(JHS) final-year students, more than 70% had no idea about what high school programs or careers to pursue.

According to some educationists interviewed, the complexity and volume of available information made it difficult for students to comprehend; and also caused dissonance between family and teachers over the best paths for students

SOLUTION

At Luminate, we’re developing a career guidance system that helps students in making informed decisions about their educational and career pathways.

HOW IT WORKS

Engage

Introducing students to the Career Journey, interest and personal development tools; as well as skill based learning and the world of work

Evaluate

Students take a series of psychometric tests, career and interest tests that generates personalized profiles and pathways for them with suggestions on their academic and career pursuits.

Experience

Students get access to extensive material on well research skills and career options; and get to participate in experiential career/mentorship events to gain practical, hands on knowledge and experience in their prospective pursuits.

Founder

With over 7+ years experience freelancing, a Master's Degree in Design Thinking, and skills in product development, circular economy, and creative problem solving, Desmond has partaken in and led a number of design projects across different industries.

Bright Anim Ayipeh

Marketing & Communications

Has built an online presence and acquired sales for brands via social media platforms such as Nutribom Ghana, The Mane Solutions, Reset Fx Nutrition and Ramilas Healing and Arts Center. He holds a BA in Psychology from UG, Legon

Frederick Blasu

Design & Content Development

Has created and curated several unique visual identities for some of the top brands in the country such as MTN, Sanlam, and Calbank. Holds a BA from KNUST

Funmilayo Abodunrin

Adminsitration & Finance

Resourceful expert in learning customer needs, while being committed to strengthening customer experiences with positivity and professionalism, Funmi has administrative experience from various logistics and maritime institutions. Through volunteering for clubs like Rotary International, she is skilled at Financial and Operational Reporting and holds a BSc in Ports and Shipping Administration from the Regional Maritime University.
